This interactive and dynamic workshop will be lead by Pamela Yula, a certified HeartMath facilitator and Life Designer® Coach
This 75-minute yoga workshop is presented by Ana Giametta, a certified yoga instructor who has extensive training in maintaining healthy bones and balance with age. She will begin with a brief discussion that includes proven facts and helpful tips to improve the strength of your bones and your stability. This will be valuable information if you want to learn how to prevent falls for yourself in the future, if you are at risk of developing osteoporosis, or if you have a frail and unstable parent you are caring for. Handouts will be provided that are packed with helpful information you can refer back to over time.
After this short presentation, Ana will then guide you through a gentle yoga sequence to lengthen your muscles, practice your balance, and strengthen your bones. All of this will help you to tune into your body’s stability. You will be able to use props and a chair to assist you as needed. Finally, you will enjoy a rejuvenating meditation with your legs resting on the seat of a chair. This position is very calming for the mind, plus it can also help to improve circulation and reduce inflammation in the legs. No prior experience is necessary!
Please bring a yoga mat if you have one, as we have only a few to borrow.
