This series is led by Annwesha, who has been teaching her own dance classes in Seattle for 5 years. She’s passionate about creating an inclusive, exciting space for dancers of all levels and can’t wait to meet you!

WAACKING Workshop
Step into the bold, unapologetic world of Waacking—a high-energy, expressive dance born in Los Angeles' underground club scene in the 1970s. Created predominantly by the gay Black and Latine community, this iconic style is all about reclaiming individuality, storytelling, and self-celebration.
Waacking is more than just arm movements—it’s full-body expression, musicality, and attitude. Inspired by classic Hollywood icons, drag queens, Bruce Lee, and even Looney Tunes, this style blends drama, elegance, and strength. With roots in punking (the original name of the style) and posing, every move tells a story and makes the music visible.

Heels Guest Workshop
Cece Wen is a movement artist, educator, and the visionary behind Move In Touch, a dance community centered on intentional movement, connection, and feminine expression. Based in Los Angeles, Cece creates spaces that are grounded in care and curiosity, welcoming dancers of all backgrounds into a deeper relationship with their bodies and emotions. Her teaching style blends technical training with somatic awareness, offering a refreshing balance of structure and flow. In every class, Cece emphasizes progression over perfection, encouraging students to reclaim movement as a source of empowerment, healing, and joy.

In this open-level workshop, we will dive into swing dancing from the ground up! Starting with the fundamental rhythm and exploring basic grooves, moves, and playful social interactions, we’ll build confidence in our favorite swing dance style: Lindy Hop. Whether you're brand new or looking to refine your basics, this workshop will get you moving, grooving, and having fun on the dance floor.
