Course Overview

Industrial Ergonomics training aims to educate employees on recognizing and avoiding ergonomic hazards in the workplace, by teaching them proper body mechanics, lifting techniques, and how to adjust their work practices to minimize strain and prevent musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) like back pain, repetitive stress injuries, and tendonitis, ultimately improving workplace safety and productivity by fitting the job to the worker, not the worker to the job

• Recall the underlying principle of ergonomics in the workplace and core risk factors
• Identify causes of CTDs
• Recognize common types of cumulative trauma disorders
• Match warning signs and symptoms with solutions and actions
• Identify ergonomic principles
