Gurpran did her Intensive Teacher Training from Yoga Tree in San Francisco. Her fascination with human anatomy and studying with acclaimed physio-therapist Harvey Deutch piqued her interest in Therapeutic yoga based on physiotherapy.Putting her art career on hold for a while, she taught yoga at the International Art Museum of America in San Francisco and to corporate clients in the Bay Area. She assisted Darren Main with ‘Yoga on the Labyrinth’ at the Grace Cathedral in San Francisco.In early 2021 she completed a course with Janet Stone and Harvey Deutch exploring both physical body and subtle body practices.She perceives yoga as a dance of the body-mind-breath-energy and is very interested in the neuroscience of yoga and its effect on our mental health.She teaches mindful movement through stretching, releasing, and restoring. Combining breath work and visualisation she uses the ancient tools of yoga to address modern-day conditions. The focus in her class is to create a healing environment that allows a connection with body and mind through a kind and compassionate perspective.Her classes are ideal for all ages, body types and skill levels.
