Registered Massage Therapist
The Floatation Centre
Meet Mase. Mase has been working as an RMT around the HRM since graduating from CCMH in 2014. In that time, they've continued to extend their therapeutic touch and has had a strong passion for helping others feel more mobile and less physically stressed in their day-to-day lives. Mase typically takes a therapeutic, myofascial approach to most treatments, with a mild-deep pressure depending on clients' wants and needs. They have a special interest (with success) in treating TMJ-related pain and disfunction (inclduing intra-oral techniques), which means they have a knack for relieving chronic jaw pain, immobility and related headache/migraine symptoms with a style to help decrease your SNS (sympathetic nervous system), especially beneficial before you float! Outside of work, Mase enjoys practicing yoga, hanging with family and friends, spending time outside with their cocker spaniel, photography and going to the beach to catch the waves. As someone who identifies as trans*/non-binary, Mase hopes to shed any of the associated gender biases and stereotypes that often come with being a massage therapist. They are proud to be able offer their services in a safe, welcoming and mindful space for any member of the local LGBTQ2+ community at The Floatation Centre.
