Coach Zeno Doeleman – Resident CoachCoach Zeno Doeleman (Zay-no Do-la-mon) brings nearly two decades of fencing experience to Marx Fencing Academy, both as a high-level competitor and a certified coach. Originally from the Netherlands, he began his fencing journey after his family immigrated to the U.S., quickly rising through the ranks to become an A-rated épée fencer.Over the years, Coach Zeno has amassed an impressive 40+ medals from U.S. Nationals, Regional Open Circuits, State Championships, and top-tier local tournaments across New York City and New Jersey. His dedication to the sport extends beyond competition—he holds a Moniteur d'Armes certification in all three weapons from the United States Fencing Coaches Association (USFCA), reflecting his expertise in épée, foil, and saber.Beyond the fencing strip, Zeno is also a professional musician, having toured across the U.S. with various bands and featured on multiple albums. His dynamic background in both athletics and the arts gives him a unique coaching style that blends precision, creativity, and strategy.At Marx Fencing Academy, Coach Zeno is dedicated to developing fencers who are not only technically skilled but also strategic, disciplined, and passionate about the sport.
