To Katie, exercise is an important and powerful part of daily living. Although schedules are busy, she believes that fitness can become a part of your daily routine as long as you make time for yourself. Katie developed a love for fitness in college and thought of personal training as a supplement to her planned teaching career. Life happened and the teaching career didn't. She taught group fitness classes on weekends and after the 9 to 5 office job. With a packed schedule she found herself waking up extra early to fit in a workout in her basement. The early mornings and solo workouts were well worth it. Katie developed dynamic workouts combining resistance and high intensity intervals that challenged her and left her excited to create the next one. Underground Fitness started in the basement with a lot of sweat, passion, and a vision. Katie has brought her workouts and training techniques out of the basement and can't wait to share her outdoor workouts with the North Fork.
