Hello and welcome to Go-For Fitness.  My name is Kathy
Scherer, owner of Go-For Fitness. I am very excited to be here in
South Glens Falls and realize my dream of owning my own fitness
center. I have always been an athlete and a fitness enthusiast. I
attended many classes here over the years when it was Gay Congdon’s
Fitness Firm, then CB’s Fitness Firm for over 30 years. I am proud
to say that many of my favorite instructors still teach here!
I have a BBA in Marketing from Pace University and a Master’s
Degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from California
University of Pennsylvania. I have over 22 different certifications
in the fitness industry, including AFAA Group Exercise, Spinning,
Les Mills Body Pump, MOSSA Group Power, Power Pilates Level 1 Mat,
YogaFit, Rumble, and many more. I have been teaching in major
health clubs in the NYC area for over 20 years. I am also a NASM
Certified Master Personal Trainer. I have 10 years of health club
management experience and feel very lucky to be able to work in an
industry that is my life passion.
I am married to my husband Paul and we have a beautiful daughter
Jessica.
In addition to group fitness, I love skiing, biking, competing
in sprint triathalons, spending time with my family and rescuing
senior age shelter dogs.
