Dancer and choreographer from Columbia, Maryland. I have trained on Laura Edwards Dance Company (LED), Ascendents Dance Company (ADC) under Gina Michael and I’m an alumni of Major Definition. My style draws inspiration from afro dance, street jazz, contemporary and modern movement. My goal as an artist is to inspire others and cultivate a space of knowledge, awareness, and expression to create a positive impact. My intro to Afrodance foundations class starts with a warm up, grooves and explores the culture in music, dance, and movement intention of Afro dance styles learning movement vocabulary and movement phrases. My choreography class starts with a warm up and explores a piece of choreography that is used as a tool to reinforce overarching execution based principles of dance with focuses in musicality, strength, lines, and core mobility.
