Elna has been ballroom dancing for 16 years, most of which was spent on formation teams in Utah. In college at Utah Valley University,  She went on three international tours with the UVU Ballroom Company Tour Team, one tour to China for a dance festival to perform, and twice to Blackpool to compete for her teams’ Latin and Standard medleys. Her Latin team placed third out of 10 teams, and standard placed first. She competed individually as well. During her college years, She spent one year as the coach for a high school ballroom team where she planned and coordinated a competition, a concert, and multiple fundraisers.  She formerly taught in Redmond, Washington at Briora Ballroom before the pandemic hit.   She specializes in Latin, rhythm and formation/show routines (such as Lindy hop and cabaret), but she loves teaching standard and smooth as well.
