We had a great time attending our first class at Arc Academy. The MIG 1 class with Curtis was great. He was very good at explaining what to do and patient with our entire group. He had so much experience and information to share with us.  I appreciated the small class size which allowed our instructor to provide individual attention to each of us. We will definitely be back for MIG 2 and hopefully other classes after that.

I did MIG 1&2 with my family and Curt was our instructor. Curt did an excellent job explaining the concepts of welding and was very helpful with instructing on doing actual welds. He is a craftsman and was happy to share his knowledge with us.
We had the opportunity to work with various metal working tools and safety was Curt’s primary concern.
We had a great time at Arc Academy. I will recommend Curt, and the Academy to our friends.

Just finished my MIG 2 class with Curtis. He was also the instructor for my MIG 1 class. I would highly recommend him as a instructor. I had a fun time and learned a lot. He is direct and to the point. Showed  a lot of patience  and a good sense of humor. Looking forward to learning more.

I've always want4ed to learn welding and this is the place to do it. I took the intro class (Mig1) lead by Curtis and he was funny, supportive and a great teacher. I took the class with my 16yo son and we both had a great time. We'll definitely be taking the next class soon.

When looking for a place for my 15 year old son and I to take an intro class, everywhere I asked I was pointed to Arc. For good reason. They take pride in doing beautiful and fundamentally sound work, and then teaching it. Curtis, our instructor, has been doing this for decades and his experience shows. More than that, he’s just a really nice guy and completely approachable. No matter your experience level or ambition, Arc is the place to go if you want to learn how to weld!

Arc Academy Welding Bootcamp. My first 2 days were with instructor Curtis!  He was so knowledgeable, experienced, witty, fun and safety conscious.  He was very thorough in his explanations of the different types of welding, types of welds, positioning, machine settings and set up and checklist. I feel that I can move forward with welding at home after his thorough instruction and demystifying the machines and gasses used.
Great job Curtis! You taught this 61 year old girl some new tricks.  And I know I will need a lot of practice after this intensive course

Arc Academy Welding Boot Camp was fantastic.  Stephen was my instructor for 3 days. Also the Academy owner. He made sure I had the proper safety equipment and went the extra mile by providing cheater glasses, as my bifocals did not work in the welding helmet. So knowledgeable, a great teacher, enthusiastic, great at coaching and encouraging and explaining and answering questions. It was a true man’s shop, yet as a woman who turned 61 during bootcamp, I felt comfortable, respected and included. Thank goodness they provided smaller gloves and coached me on positioning as a shorter person.
I learned so much about mig, tig, stick welding and fabrication. I will need so much practice to go forward, but I walked away with a non wobbly pedestal table base that I fabricated myself.

Curtis was a great instructor. Even though I have welding many moons ago, and was a bit intimidated going in, Curtis gave us the right level of "don't hurt yourself, because you can" with the "just do it" attitude, while treating us all the same.  Really enjoyed it!
