Meet our WARRIOR Rhythm instructor Laurel Gregory.  Laurel comes to SoulShine by way of Yonkers, NY; Washington, DC, Concord, NC and  most recently Mechanicsville, Va.  Laurel describes herself as a zig zag line. Some 35 years ago, Laurel attended a Women's Professional Development Seminar in which the facilitator opened the session by asking the participants "if you were to describe yourself as a geometric shape, what shape would you be?"   Having glanced at all of the shapes on the screen at the front of the room, Laurel felt drawn to select the zig zag line (which really isn't a shape at all ).  It wasn't until the end of the all-day workshop that the facilitator shared with the group the  personality characteristics of each shape.  Here's what Laurel learned - people who see themselves as a "zig zag" line are creative, holistic, flexible (not literally); adaptable, colorful, sensual, non-conforming, they easily "go with the flow" and often dare to be different.   Laurel is the mother of 2 adult daughters and grandmother to one 8 year old granddaughter. She enjoys cooking, working out, re-reading great "self-help" books; loves anything made with strawberries and escapes with eucalyptus aromatherapy.
