About
Stacie Boss started her own fitness journey eight years ago in 2011. “I started with Beachbody, doing P90X at home, it helped me get in shape and started creating healthy habits”.
Soon enough, friends and family went to Stacie for help. “I was questioned all the time by friends who needed my help. But I couldn’t give them anything other than a referral to buy a shake or start a video workout.”
Stacie decided she wanted to do more, she wanted to truly help others. So that’s exactly what she set out to do. “By April of 2014, I had completed my CPT with the National Academy of Sports Medicine and became a personal trainer.”
After moving from a small town in Illinois to White House, Tennessee, Stacie became a Tabata Boot-camp trainer at a local gym and garnered her own group of loyal clients. When the gym closed its doors, Stacie decided it was time for her to open her own business. “You see I saw the need, especially for women, to have the camaraderie and support that group fitness offers…I wanted a safe haven where clients could have support, accountability and feel like they were a part of something.”
And so in September of 2016, Studio B.O.S.S. was born.
Since its opening, Stacie has never given up the personal touch. “It’s a very one-on-one business. I’m very hands-on with everybody. I try to be there if I know someone new is coming to a class, so I can introduce myself and talk to them. We also ensure clients keep in touch with their trainers on Facebook. We’re very much a family.”
The Problem
Stacie started managing her business with MindBody, one of the most popular business management software on the market at the time. But right away, Stacie and her staff found that the system left a lot to be desired.
“I grew up with computers…and I found [MindBody] incredibly difficult to use. I would think I had something set up correctly, and it never would be. I would have more issues than solved problems. The little mobile card reader never did work. It was very frustrating, it felt like it was always an uphill battle.”
Determined there must be a better way, Stacie set out to look for MindBody alternatives. “I ended up talking to someone at length that used WellnessLiving, she came from MindBody as well.
