Find Out Why Jane App Clients Are Switching Software
Jane App is a software solution for health and wellness clinics. Their features help businesses with online booking, billing and insurance, and more. Essentially, Jane App aims to streamline its clients’ operations.
Recently, however, clients have shared negative reviews detailing Jane App issues. Read on to find out what’s leading clients to switch software.
Issues with Insurance Companies in the US
Jane App promises billing and payment acceptance in just a few clicks even with insurance processing.
However, one US-based clinic owner named Dr. Mark Larinde advised against using Jane App insurance billing. Around 60% of their patients use Medicare or private insurance, and for months, they struggled with insurance processing.
This client asked a staff member with years of insurance experience for help. Then, Jane App’s customer service got involved, but to no avail.
“I decided to have my front desk person, who has done billing for over 10 years, take a shot at using Jane for our insurance billing,” Dr. Larinde said. “After months of her working on multiple cases and support escalations, emails, phone calls, and even trying to get the owner involved, we have given up.”
Another small clinic owner named Kat was similarly dissatisfied. They said Jane was “not ready for US billing integration — not even close. They didn’t even know how US billing worked or how it was different from Canadian billing when we called to let them know what we needed.”
Kat wasted time finding workarounds to process insurance and mentioned slow page loading that made payments tedious. This isn’t the only finance-related issue Jane clients have faced.
Accounting Issues Experienced on Jane App
Accounting compliance is essential for any business. Since Jane App advertises simplified billing and payments, clients reasonably expect accounting support too. Unfortunately, Jane App doesn’t provide accounting support or integrations.
Their website mentions commonly used systems but doesn’t make recommendations. Plus, their software doesn’t connect to any accounting system directly. Instead, clients must export financial reports to Excel and then import the reports to their accounting software.
This causes a disjointed experience, not the streamlined one Jane App promises. It also puts clients at risk of penalties for filing taxes incorrectly.
One customer named Emma cited poor accounting support as the primary reason for their negative experience. “The accounting reports and features are completely incompatible with standard accounting practices. The support team clearly has no understanding of accounting or the relevant features and reporting within Jane,” they said.
The most concerning complaints about Jane App are finance-related, including issues with billing, accounting, and even fraud.
A Business Owner Reported Jane App Didn’t Help an Instance of Fraud Occurring Through Jane App
One clinic counselor named Elysia said her business was defrauded while using Jane App. As a student practitioner, she worked at clinics that used Jane App. When it came time to open her own practice, she decided to go with Jane App, too.
However, she found herself out of $880 due to a scam. A patient purchased services, then told the bank they were fraudulent. The clinic owner asked Jane App for support expecting them to be the middleman between her business and the bank.
She followed their instructions and submitted evidence to prove she’d provided the services charged to the credit card. However, Jane App couldn’t help beyond submitting these documents to the bank.
Finally, she revoked Jane App’s access to her account to avoid further losses. Jane App ultimately refunded her but charged for their support. Although they promised hassle-free solutions, she had an incredibly difficult time.
“I trusted that payments were at least secure for myself and my clients,” she said. “My feedback would be to do a better job ‘supporting’ the companies that trust you and pay you to handle their secure transactions by actually ‘having their back’ with these fraudulent claims. I have yet to see proof that my information was even shown to the credit card company,” she continued.
You and your clients deserve reliable and secure software that alleviates your worries.
