Given the issues he faced, David also suspects Super SaaS only got programmers to review the interface instead of actual users. “The oh-so-2000s interface is the typical mess made by programmers, reviewed by programmers and (only) enjoyed by programmers, when current, regular customers demand speed and simplicity above all… usability is light years behind,” he says.
In his review, David also discusses the customer-facing interface, reporting that some fields obstructed others, creating a clunky user experience.
“The responsive mobile interface (the only one most customers will ever use) is even worse,” he confirms. “Just try a regular, basic operation like adjusting the hour of your appointment… Customers have to type the hour but can only do so when the unusable and redundant mini calendar for the date does not obstruct the hour field,” he continues.
A poor user experience like this can potentially harm client retention or discourage new clients from trying out your business. Unfortunately, some users only seemed to discover this after enduring the complicated initial setup.

The Super SaaS setup process was daunting for many business owners. Reportedly, endless tabs within tabs made navigation a challenge.
One user, Ethan P., claimed the setup was so confusing that it affected his ability to navigate the software.
“The setup was sort of confusing,” he says. “There are a lot of links within tabs within pages. Sometimes I couldn’t remember how to get back to the page I had been on before.”
He felt the lack of tutorials and support complicated things to the point that he was unaware of some features and also said Super SaaS needed a visual update. “Video tutorials showing you how to navigate the configuration process would go a long way. I was even missing certain features because I didn’t realize they were there. Also, the layout feels very Windows 2000… It looks out of place on my modern website.”
