WellnessLiving vs Momence: Comparing Features & Pricing
Having an all-in-one software platform for your fitness studio, gym, or spa is a life saver. Instead of having to choose, pay for, and connect dozens of different platforms, you can save money and get things done faster with a comprehensive solution.
But because all-in-one business platforms cover such a wide array of features, they can be hard to compare.
In this guide, we take a look at WellnessLiving and Momence side by side.
These companies both cater to the fitness and wellness market, but they have very different approaches—especially when it comes to pricing.
How to choose between WellnessLiving and Momence
So how do you know which one to choose? Let’s take a look at the key similarities and differences.
Where WellnessLiving and Momence are similar:
- Modern UX
- 24/7 customer support
- Hands-on onboarding
Where WellnessLiving and Momence are different:
Below, we explore these differences in greater detail so you can determine which option is right for your business.
WellnessLiving vs Momence: Pricing & payment processing fees
WellnessLiving and Momence have very different strategies when it comes to pricing.
At WellnessLiving, we charge more for our core features but less for credit card processing—which saves your business a ton of money in the long run. You’ll pay between $210 and $569 for a monthly plan, but credit card processing fees are between 2.5 and 3%.
Momence charges less for their monthly subscriptions (between $20 and $80), but their credit card processing fees are between 3.7 and 3.9%!
This means that only very small studios will save money with Momence.
If you already have multiple locations, trainers, and/or clinicians and want to scale your revenue, you’ll lose money on Momence’s outrageous payment processing fees.
WellnessLiving vs Momence: Features
Both platforms offer appointment booking, membership sales, segmented marketing, automated notifications, and integrations with QuickBooks, ClassPass, and Zapier.
WellnessLiving and Momence also offer inventory management and in-person POS so you can sell branded swag, sports nutrition, or any other products your clients love. With both platforms, you’ll get website widgets to help you seamlessly integrate your backend offers with your site.
However, there are some important features that you can’t get with Momence. We explore these below.
9 key features Momence lacks
If some or all of these features matter to you, then Momence is probably not the right choice.
1. Client mobile app
First up, Momence doesn’t have a branded mobile app for clients, meaning you won’t be able to have a presence in the app stores. This also means that clients have to book appointments, check schedules, and watch any on-demand video content from the mobile website, which doesn’t provide as good of an experience as a native app.
With WellnessLiving, you can create a high-quality mobile app for clients with absolutely no coding required.
2. Push notifications
In the same vein, because Momence doesn’t offer a native app for clients, you can’t send push notifications.
Push notifications are great for reducing no-shows and calling attention to special events, promotions, schedule changes, cancellations, or other important announcements. With WellnessLiving, you can create both automated and one-time push notifications for different client segments.
3. Staff mobile app
Native apps provide a superior user experience and are much easier to navigate compared to websites accessed via mobile browser.
Momence doesn’t offer a native mobile app for staff. Instead, they recommend that staff add a shortcut to the mobile website on their phones.
With WellnessLiving, you get a staff app that can be used for setting availability, checking schedules, booking appointments for clients, taking payments, and clocking in (only when on site).
4. Product add-ons
With Momence, you can’t add products to the checkout process. This is unfortunate because add-ons are a great way to improve the client experience and boost your revenue.
WellnessLiving makes it easy to customize add-ons. For example, you might offer a facial add-on when someone is purchasing a 60-minute massage.
5. Loyalty program
Loyalty programs offer an ingenious way to incentivize clients to engage with your business. WellnessLiving gives you a fully automated loyalty program so you can award points whenever clients book additional services, purchase products, refer a friend, or leave an online review. Clients can then cash in these points for rewards based on the tiers you set.
Momence doesn’t have this feature.
6. Leaderboard
Because Momence doesn’t have a loyalty program, they also don’t have a leaderboard.
With WellnessLiving, you can keep track of your most engaged clients and reward them however you see fit. For example, you might have fitness instructors give free swag during class to promote some friendly competition.
7. Asset booking
Book-a-Spot is WellnessLiving’s asset booking feature. Clients can literally book where they want to stand in the classroom. This feature can also be used for booking or renting entire rooms or pieces of equipment.
Momence doesn’t offer this feature—putting a cap on your creativity and potential revenue.
8. Reserve with Google
WellnessLiving fully integrates with Reserve with Google so you can drive more bookings from Google Search and Maps, while collecting all client details inside of your WellnessLiving CRM.
Unfortunately, Momence doesn’t synch with Reserve with Google, so if you do turn on this feature within your Google business listing, all of the financial reporting and client information will be separate.
9. Website builder
Both platforms offer website widgets so you can easily embed appointments, memberships, and products into your website.
However, only WellnessLiving’s Presence gives you an end-to-end solution for website development, complete with templates, blogging, and of course a content management system that is fully integrated with the backend of your business.
This means that you can lower your website maintenance costs by bringing everything under one roof. Plus, you’ll have 24/7 support via phone. Our team is always here to walk you through any changes you want to make to your site, and we can help you strategically take advantage of our site builder.
WellnessLiving vs Momence: Reporting
Lastly, let’s take a quick look at reporting capabilities.
Both WellnessLiving and Momence offer financial and marketing reports with filtering to help you drill down into the insights that matter most.
But Momence doesn’t include the key features mentioned above, so their reporting system is also incomplete. You can’t analyze asset booking, app activity, rewards activity, or Google bookings.
With WellnessLiving, you’ll get the most comprehensive platform available so you can easily analyze your results, make decisions, and implement new strategies.
To learn more, request a demo with our sales team and a representative will also walk you through a side-by-side pricing comparison based on your needs.
