Did you know that the real Regency period was less pretty pastels than it is in the series, Bridgerton, and more conflict due to the Napoleonic wars that were raging at the time? It was also the era when horror stories were first published, and a new literary genre was born. In the spirit of Halloween, this Style Series will explore the darker side of Bridgerton, using 2 of the show’s bewitching covers of contemporary songs. The static song will evoke the danger and decadence that characterized the period, while the spin song will embrace the dark romanticism of a mysterious and haunting tale. Join me - if you dare!
